Pastel Fall Wedding at Pine Knoll Farms

While we love bright colors, it’s no secret we gravitate towards pastel designs throughout the year. This Pine Knoll wedding had such a soft color palette, it complimented the early fall weather perfectly!

We did two installations on the ceremony cross and greens in the decanter vases in the chapel, while the reception space got an assortment of bridesmaids bouquets w/ greenery around the base (great way to repurpose all 11 of them! Yes, 11 bridesmaids!), large lanterns with florals, and my favorite: one of a kind antique spheres with florals and greenery growing within them.

Valentine's Portrait Session

Some of my favorite local wedding vendors came together nearly a year ago to put on a styled portrait session. This shoot was inspired by valentine’s day and it was nothing but fun! It only seems fitting to share as we are only 6 days away from the annual day of love. Enjoy the gallery below and go hug a florist (or give them a distanced high five) - we need it!

Bright Summer Wedding

reddish-1195.jpg

This wedding was a joy to create. I get a lot of requests for ivory and green wedding flowers, so I welcomed the change of color palette. I also wondered how the bride found me! Her requests were to use flowers that have a lot of petals (garden roses and peonies, hellllllooo!) in varying shades of pink, with a rustic but classic feel to them (cue the burlap wrap and eucalyptus).

As always, the vendors are listed below from this colorful Enterprise Mill wedding. Hope the flowers make you smile when you see them like they did to me!

Southern "Something Blue" Wedding

IMG_9810.jpg

Being able to work at such uniquely southern venues has been an unexpected perk of this job. I grew up in southern California so every time we roll up to a traditional southern home, I get all googly-eyed at the sight of it.

Quinney Oaks didn’t need much as far as floral accents go. It was cleanly overgrown with English ivy and Spanish moss hung from the grandiose oak trees. Our bride was all about textural elements so we focused on bringing those into the bouquets and simple bud vase centerpieces using thistle, brunia berries, and Queen Anne’s lace.

The highlight for me, design-wise, was a massive pergola that the bride and groom were married on. Y’all (I can say that now, right??), we used a total of 32 feet of garland on that baby! Shoutout to my work husband/real husband that climbed atop and was perched like a freakin’ gargoyle tying it to the border, while my mom and I alternated holding my little one as it was drizzling on and off most of the morning (because why wouldn’t it be?).

The end result was a beautifully modern take on a traditional wedding scene. Scroll through to see the work we put in on this one.

Whimsical Floral Accessories Shoot

Wearables-156.jpg

Spring is here and I thought it would be the perfect time to share these fun photos from our floral wearables shoot earlier this month. I wanted to take a break from the bridal side of styled shoots for this one and focus on some of our smaller pieces that are also great for prom, socials, the bridal party, and the parents.

We were watching the forecast all morning because Augusta looked like it would be dreary and wet for most of the afternoon. Luckily, the drizzle stopped right as we all met at Savannah Rapids to start shooting. The lighting was perfect and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to help me pull this off!

Click through (or sit and watch, it’s on autoplay for the patient people) to see the photos from our springtime photoshoot!
